“Thuk-je-che”
In Tibetan language we rejoice about the good heart of the person who gave us a gift – “thuk-je-che” can be translated as “you have a big heart”. It is composed of a term for greatness (che), a honorific term for addressing a person (je), and a honorific term for (exalted) mind or heart (thuk), which together denotes a good heart, karuṇā, compassion, benevolence, kindness, responsiveness merciful with grace.
Many donations from all over the world make it possible to construct a`Stupa for World Peace` here in Berlin. So far we`ve achieved the filling and consecration of the `inner core` of the stupa. Much more work is still needed to build the bell-shaped `outer wall`, put up the 13 rings, the rectangular harmika and the copper-jewel. We hope to raise enough money to finish the project in 2017.
Conquer the angry man by love.
Conquer the ill-natured man by goodness.
Conquer the miser with generosity.
Conquer the liar with truth.Buddha
What is done?
In 2016 we`ve finished the preparatory work for the sacred contents and have built the concrete core of the stupa with it`s different chambers. They were each blessed and filled by the tibetan Lamas. At the end of the year the core-stupa was finally consecrated and sealed.
What remains to be done?
In 2017 we intend to finish the bell-shaped outer form of the Kadam-stupa and will put up the copper harmika, the 13 rims and the jewel-top, which was made in Nepal. We`ll paint and decorate the stupa in spring and build a round pathway for circumambulating the stupa, a visitor`s pathway and a circular low wall to sit on. The stupa-garden with plants and trees has be created. We expect our spiritual director, Ringu Tulku Rinpoche, back in april 2017. He will visit and also bless the stupa.
